Christie
spent her first years after graduation in pre-law working for Minneapolis law
firms. The next ten years she devoted to a private consulting practice assisting small
businesses to develop organizational structures and procedures that will enable
them to grow, profitably. Client
activities included setting up an office for a new sales rep company, developing
systems for compliance with the Federal Truth-in-Labeling legislation as well as
creating
methods and procedures to facilitate managing and reporting for a multi-tenant real estate
investment company.
As part of her business, she performed real estate closings and property
management accounting. One client hired Christie to work for them. This
engagement led to a role in outside sales where she sold high tech electronic
products to sophisticated manufacturers.
After
relocating to California, she worked as a Process, Procedures and Training
manager for a telephony company. Her responsibilities in other positions have
included establishing
and guiding a customer service organization, creating and delivering training
programs and a product management role for custom
products.
She is a graduate
of the University of Minnesota and has completed the course work at JFK
University. She was a founder of
the Midwest Chapter of Women in Electronics and served on the High Technology
Council of the Minnesota Department of Labor.
Christie is a certified training facilitator for consultative selling and
total quality programs. Christie resides in San Jose, CA with her husband. They
have 4 grown children, 2 grandchildren and enjoy traveling during their free
